GTN Skin Patch - Explosion Risk

Information received today from the Institute of Cemetery & Crematorium Management.

GTN Skin Patch - Explosion Risk

During the last few weeks there have been a number of 'unexplained' explosions at Crematoria in the UK.

After urgent investigation, it has been discovered that the cause may be the presence of a GTN Skin Patch present on the deceased. A Glyceryl Trinitrate Patch - known as GTN is a new treatment which can be used to treat Chronic Angina.

Glyceryl Trinitrate is a variation of TNT, which as we all know is very explosive. This matter has been referred to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) who will make a statement soon.

In the meanwhile you are advised to circulate this message to your local funeral directors who can ensure that all deceased are inspected before being brought to the Crematorium, and if a GTN Patch is present, that it be removed.
