AAPT Consent Training November 2024
The AAPT will be hosting further consent training in November 2024 and registration is now open
We are pleased once again to welcome guest support from the Human Tissue Authority (HTA) for the AAPT Post Mortem Consent Training Zoom course
To be held over three sessions starting at 14.30 as follows:
- 7th November 2024: Presentation from the Human Tissue Authority (HTA)
- 14th November 2024: Presentation from Sam Bell RSciTech MAAPT(AAPT Council)
- 21st November 2024: Scenarios and Q&A
It is likely that the first two sessions will be approximately an hour and the last session of workshop scenarios will be approximately 90 minutes. After the registration form is received back to the AAPT Secretary. you will be sent the Zoom registration link for each session. This course is limited to 40 participants and CPD approved (5 hours) and if your employer is paying there is a strict No Purchase Order, No Registration policy.
Delegates will have:
- knowledge of the HTA Codes for Consent
- knowledge of the post mortem consent process
- practical experience of dealing with consent issues
- the ability to inform their Trust of consent procedures and best practice
- the ability to step up a consent process
