Guidance on HTA licensing of emergency mortuaries
Updated guidance from the Human Tissue Authority
This HTA guidance sets out key information about HTA licensing of emergency mortuaries, for teams involved in emergency planning and those working in emergency mortuaries.
HTA can provide an HTA licence for an emergency mortuary, in the event of an incident. This includes for establishments that undertake post-mortem examinations, store bodies and samples for scheduled purposes in the HT Act and, or remove samples from the deceased for these purposes.
