New Lead Facilitator for the Level 3 and 4 Diploma course at North Tees
Many APTs will be aware that Michelle Lancaster FAAPT has left for pastures new, and the North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust has a new Lead Facilitator for the Level 3 and 4 Diplomas in Anatomical Pathology Technology.
Mr Darren Makin steps into this role and has also kindly agreed to become a co-opted member of the AAPT Council to ensure continuity and maintain the high standards of the course.
Darren has said:
"My background has involved training across a number of disciplines in Health Care Science and this role offers new and exciting challenges to me.
We now have a new website designed to assist candidates with their training both prior to and after attendance at the Centre at North Tees. The site also has guidance for work based mentors and a new course online application process.
This site has been designed with input from various personnel throughout the APT profession and will ensure candidates receive the best training from the most appropriate people with the subject matter expertise.
I consider myself fortunate to have been given this opportunity and to be involved in training at a Centre with such a fine reputation. I look forward to meeting some of you in the future!"
