Consent Training Day 20 April 2012
The AAPT were delighted to run a 4th annual consent training event in liaison with the Human Tissue Authority (HTA) on 20th April 2012.
The AAPT were delighted to run a 4th annual consent training event in liaison with the Human Tissue Authority (HTA) on 20th April 2012.
Over 30 delegates registered with a cross section of the healthcare workforce in attendance: anatomical pathology technologists, consultants, midwives and bereavement officers. By the end of the training, participants will through lectures and practical workshops:
- Have knowledge of the HTA Codes for Consent
- have knowledge of the post mortem consent process
- have practical experience of dealing with consent issues
- be able to facilitate the consent process with N.O.K and clinician
- be able to inform their Trust of consent procedures and best practice
- be able to help set up a consent process
It is expected this will continue to be an annual fixture in the AAPT CPD meeting calendar.
