Caring for the Dead during the COVID-19 Pandemic: CDAS In Conversation with Anatomical Pathology Technologist Lara-Rose Iredale
About this event
Anatomical Pathology Technologist (APT) Lara-Rose Iredale will discuss how she and her APT colleagues responded to the COVID-19 pandemic, the many (often unforeseen) complications that arose when the UK went into lockdown and reflect on what she learned during her crash course on emergency planning in the NHS.
Lara-Rose Iredale is an Anatomical Pathology Technologist (APT) working in the NHS, providing care after death for those who die in hospital and in the community. She began her training in 2014, qualified in 2017, and is now a Senior APT. She has lived and worked in London as an APT for the past 9 years, but is now moving Up North to work as an APT in an exclusively paediatric hospital.
