Louise Steed works as a biomedical scientist in microbiology and is a health and safety co-ordinator for pathology at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantristant. She is currently studying a masters in Health, Safety and Environmental Management and has decided to focus on mortuary staff and their challenges with manual handling issues.
Louise was involved in improving the manual handling for local mortuaries, therefore has decided to base her dissertation on the subject, as she feels the mortuary and its staff are often forgotten.
